Sailor Duvall is the daughter of Slate's closest friend; when he dies, Slate agrees to watch after her.
With his his new partner by his side, the two encounter a wide assortment of modern-day pirates, ne'er do wells and scallywags that abound in 1950s Havana. Of course this results in many dangerous and exciting adventures for Slate and Sailor.
