Dragnet -- The Big Layout
When an old friend of Joe Friday tells Joe he needs to talk to him, Friday knows it's an indication he is in some kind of trouble. He is -- he has just discovered his eighteen-year old son is using heroin.
Joe and Frank try to work with the teen but are met by a brick wall pf resistance. That's when they decide the young man needs some tough love.
Realistic story line. Interesting to see how things have changed and yet how they also remain the same.
Eddie Firestone is excellent as the young addict.
