Harry Lime is a somewhat difficult person to describe.

Is Lime is a rogue? Yes. A scoundrel? Most assuredly. An opportunist? Of course. He is also a thief and a criminal. He is a man who should not be trusted - ever.

Harry Lime cares only for making money and enjoying nice things. It doesn't really matter what underhanded activity he must perform to achieve his goals.

What makes Harry interesting is that he readily tales advantage of individuals who are trying to take advantage of him.

Thanks to witty scripts, and superb performances by Welles and a stock company of talented actors, including Diana Foster, Frances Hyland, Suzanne Cloutier, and many others, the nefarious Harry Lime and his Rogue's Gallery of associates always make for great entertainment.

The show was produced in England at the IBC Studios. This seems to have added to an authentic continental flavor. The various episodes portray Lime's adventures in romantic and exotic locations such as Paris, Rome, Venice, Budapest, Tangiers, and along the French Riviera.

But it is not the glam and glitter that makes The Lives of Harry Lime a great radio show. It is the stories that draw us in. Harry Lime is a most fascinating character and listeners have always found him undeniably attractive.
